Takumi Minamino (30) has committed his future to AS Monaco, signing a one-year extension. His current deal had been set to expire at the end of next season.
Minamino struggled for form in the wake of his €15m move from Liverpool back in the summer of 2022, however, he bounced back in the second campaign, registering 15 goals contributions (nine goals, six assists) in 31 games in all competitions. He has carried that form into the current campaign. The Japan international currently has six goals and five assists in 33 games this season, making him an important part of the forward line at the Stade Louis II.
At 30 years old, he also represents the oldest player in Monaco’s youthful squad, making him an important and experienced member of the dressing room. His future with Les Monégasques has now been secured. His new deal now runs until the summer of 2027.
