As reported by L’Équipe, a year after leaving France, Marshall Munetsi (29) could return to Ligue 1 this January. The publication have now provided more details regarding the interest in the Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder, revealing that OGC Nice are one of the interested parties.
Munetsi left Stade de Reims after six years to join Wolves back in February. Despite initially carving out a place for himself in the side, his minutes have been severely limited since the managerial change at Molineux. A regular under Vitor Pereira, his limited role under Rob Edwards could see him leave in January and potentially move back to France; the midfielder has not been included in Wolves’ last three Premier League matchday squads.
Wolves are open to a departure. Nice could make a move for the Zimbabwe international. Several weeks ago, Franck Haise asked for a physical midfielder, and Munetsi’s availability could open the possibility for a transfer.
