Although FC Bayern has already publicly emphasized that it will not sell Michael Olise this summer, rumors of a move to Real Madrid persist. One expert now appears completely unfazed.
Real Madrid itself has already stated in a press release that it has not made an offer for Olise, and behind the scenes, Real Madrid officials are reportedly very keen not to damage their good relationship with FC Bayern in any way.
Nevertheless, Spanish and French media outlets in particular have recently fueled the rumors. A report in L’Equipe revealed that Olise is said to have even expressedhis desire to leave to members of the French national team.
Other media outlets, however, report that the French attacking star would under no circumstances push for a transfer. According to Sky, there are also no indications from Olise’s side that he intends to leave this summer.
Rather, Bayern Munich wants to extend the player’s contract and try to keep him long-term by offering a higher salary.

Expert and record-holding national team player Lothar Matthäus also commented on this topic. He appears completely relaxed and does not expect any movement on this matter this summer.
„There was speculation last week about Michael Olise’s future, but I’m taking it in stride. Olise has a contract in Munich, and Bayern doesn’t want to sell him. The club wants to be successful and has already made two very good signings, and I’m convinced that their plans aren’t finished yet,” Matthäus wrote in his column for Sky.
Matthäus also commented on the debate over the French star’s position—he played as a number 10 at the World Cup—saying: “He’s played there at Bayern before, too, but I think he feels more comfortable on the right wing. He stood out more there at Bayern than he did during the World Cup in the French midfield.“
