Sunderland defender Omar Alderete is a serious doubt for Paraguay’s World Cup meeting with Germany after a knee scare, though early scans suggest no serious damage.
According to Sunderland Echo, the 29-year-old was hurt in Paraguay’s 0-0 draw with Australia last week, a result that sealed a last 32 place after a heavy opening loss to the USA.
The muscle strain continues to cause problems and he trained separately from the main group in their final session before facing Germany.
Head coach Gustavo Alfaro said before the match: "We'll test Omar tomorrow. He's still in pain. Although they did the tests, he's okay but in a lot of pain. There isn't much time to get him back in shape. So we're going to wait until the last minute."
Paraguay face Germany at 9.30pm UK time, live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Wilson Isidor is the only Sunderland player to have exited after the groups, signing off with a long-range goal for Haiti against Morocco.
Upcoming ties include Morocco v Netherlands at 2pm UK time on Monday, Ivory Coast v Norway on Tuesday at 6pm, and Ecuador v Mexico in the early hours of Wednesday.
