One outlet is reporting disappointment in the current position of a BlueCo club seeing as they spent so much money in the summer.
With Chelsea currently 5th in the Premier League and only above Manchester United on goal difference, and Strasbourg currently in 7th in Ligue 1, this statement could easily be about either teams and to be honest, this is the harsh reality for both BlueCo owned teams right now – it’s far from good enough with the amount of money invested into both squads.
But for this story only, the report is about Strasbourg and their current league position not being good enough. And really, who can argue with the report right now? For me, it’s just factual.

L’Equipe are reporting that it is disappointing Strasbourg are 7th after nearly a €100m spend last summer, however the management will not invest much in January in hope all the new signings come good. There is even questions over striker Panichelli, who has gone 10 games without a goal.
Strasbourg, like Chelsea, have been so up and down and also their manager Liam Rosenior has gotten a lot of praise. So it’s certainly not all been bad, but the current position is just not good enough for the investment that has gone into the squad.
Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca is a strong candidate to replace Pep Guardiola at Manchester City in the summer, should the current City boss depart his club.
Meanwhile, we are almost in January now and that means a new transfer window opening up. One player who wants a move is Raheem Sterling, and it looks like Fulham could be a possible option for him next month as he looks to kick his career back into place.
