Palmeiras are set to conclude a punishing away sequence in Londrina, after almost 16,000 kilometres in eight days. According to Nosso Palestra, the run comes amid overlapping commitments in the Libertadores, Campeonato Brasileiro and Copa do Brasil.
The schedule began on Tuesday 5 with an estimated 4,585 kilometres to Lima to face Sporting Cristal in the Libertadores.
After that match, the squad flew back to São Paulo, the staff preferring the Academia de Futebol for recovery and preparation, another 4,585 kilometres.
They then travelled to Belém to play Remo on Sunday 10 in the Campeonato Brasileiro, a journey of about 2,883 kilometres. Post-match, they returned to São Paulo, adding the same distance.
Next is the Copa do Brasil tie with Jacuipense in Londrina, Paraná, on Wednesday 13, roughly 533 kilometres each way, closing the long spell away from the capital.
After the cup game, Palmeiras face Cruzeiro on Saturday 16 in the league, nominally as hosts at Arena Barueri because Allianz Parque is unavailable.
Despite the relentless airports, hotels and transfers, Palmeiras remain competitive, leading the Campeonato Brasileiro on 34 points and topping their Libertadores group.
