Palmeiras beat Internacional 3-1 at Estádio José Pinheiro Borda to go top of the Brasileirão, while Inter slip to 19th.

In the 23rd minute Gustavo Gómez glanced in Andreas Pereira's corner to give the visitors the lead. Ronaldo levelled with a thumping left-footer (36.).

After the restart, Vitor Roque restored Verdão's advantage with a low finish (52.). Pereira then sealed it from Lucas Evangelista's pass (82.).

Carlos Miguel denied Rafael Borré from point-blank range in the ninth minute of second half stoppage time. Verdão were clinical, hitting seven shots on target from 11 attempts. Inter had 62.5% possession and 26 attempts, but found only four on target.
