Palmeiras top the FIFA ranking among Conmebol clubs with 53 points, underlining their status as South America’s leading contender to reach the 2029 Club World Cup.

According to Nosso Palestra, the table reflects performances in the Copa Libertadores from 2025 to 2028, rewarding both progression through rounds and sustained consistency.

Flamengo are second on 51 points, already qualified thanks to their continental title. LDU complete the top three with 44 points.

The list highlights Brazilian strength, with São Paulo in sixth and Botafogo in tenth. Palmeiras, meanwhile, hold a clear advantage over traditional rivals in the current cycle.

If the criteria from the 2025 edition are maintained, South America will have six places at the 2029 tournament.

In addition to ranking berths, the host nation secures a spot. Brazil is among the candidates to stage the event, which could further boost national representation.

In Europe, Arsenal lead with 103 points, with Paris Saint-Germain next, already through after winning the Champions League.

This sustained output leaves the Verdão well placed internationally, fuelling expectations that they could arrive as genuine contenders for the title.
