Palmeiras beat Fluminense 2-1 on Wednesday 25 February at Arena Barueri in the fourth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, extending their home league unbeaten run to 16 and matching their longest sequence under Abel Ferreira.

The stretch comprises 12 wins and four draws since their return from the FIFA Club World Cup in July 2025, equalling the run set between July 2022 and June 2023. Nosso Palestra reports that Abel Ferreira has been in charge since 2020.

Across all competitions, Palmeiras are 21 home games unbeaten since August 2025, with 16 wins and five draws. In that span they played 13 Brasileiro fixtures, 10 wins and three draws, five Paulista games, four wins and one draw, and three in the Libertadores, two wins and one draw.

Reaching 20 without defeat at home had not happened since July 2022 to June 2023, when the club went 33 home matches unbeaten, 26 wins and seven draws.

At Arena Barueri, they are nine unbeaten between 2025 and 2025, with eight wins, including six in succession, and one draw against Guarani in the Paulista. The six-match sequence is their best at the venue, surpassing five straight achieved between 2012 and 2022.

Top of the Brasileiro, Palmeiras face São Paulo in the Paulista semi-final on Sunday 1 March at 20:30 Brasília time at Arena Crefisa Barueri. Their next league outing is on 12 March against Vasco. The Paulista finals would follow before that if they qualify.
