Palmeiras’ opening-day record stays strong across last 10 Brasileiro seasons | OneFootball

Palmeiras have made a habit of starting the Campeonato Brasileiro strongly, recording five wins, three draws and two defeats across their last 10 opening matches.

From 2016 to 2019 they began with four straight wins, 4-0 against Atlético-PR, 4-0 against Vasco, 3-1 against Botafogo and 4-0 against Fortaleza.

The sequence tightened with a 1-1 draw at Fluminense in 2020, a 1-0 loss to Flamengo in 2021 and a 3-2 defeat to Ceará in 2022.

They returned to winning ways by beating Cuiabá 2-1 in 2023 and Vitória 1-0 in 2024.

The goalless draw with Botafogo in 2025 kept a three-match unbeaten start intact and highlighted a competitive display against a fellow contender.

Across the 10 games they have scored 18 and conceded seven, with several dominant Allianz Parque performances early in the run.
