Palmeiras prepare for Coritiba as Arias returns, duo on load management | OneFootball

Palmeiras resume their Campeonato Brasileiro campaign on Wednesday 22 at 19:30 Brasília time against Coritiba in round 19. They lead the table with 41 points.

According to Nosso Palestra, the squad trained on Saturday morning at the Academia de Futebol. The key update was the return of Colombian Jhon Arias after the World Cup, and he worked fully with team-mates.

Goalkeeper Carlos Miguel and midfielder Felipe Anderson followed load-management work indoors at the excellence centre, alongside left-back Jefté, who is undergoing treatment after surgery on his right knee.

For the Coritiba match, Palmeiras will be without Allan and Paulinho, both suspended by the STJD. Forward Flaco López is also unavailable due to World Cup duty.

Having collected three yellow cards, head coach Abel Ferreira will not be on the touchline in the capital of Paraná.
