Paniagua, Skepple strike hat tricks in Women’s U-17 Qualifiers

MIAMI – Round One of 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers continued with the fourth set of matches in Group C, D, and E on Saturday.
Group C
Saint Lucia 3-5 Antigua and Barbuda
Antigua and Barbuda rolled to a 5-3 win over Saint Lucia in Group C at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.
Keitonya Skepple led the way for Antigua and Barbuda with a hat trick, scoring her first goal in the 35’ off a thunderous free kick. She added the other two in the second half with a header in the 78’, and her final tally in the 90’+3’.
Nafisa Quashie recorded a brace, with a goal in the 42’, and a free kick blast of her own in the 73’. She was also credited with an own goal in the 30’.
Saint Lucia’s two goals came from Kayla Polius in the 54’, and Kyla Lionel in the 90’+4’.
Cayman Islands 0-3 Haiti
Haiti cruised to a 3-nil shutout of the Cayman Islands, to jump into the top spot in Group C at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.
Keisha Gue got the opening goal in the 7’ as she knocked in a rebound from Krystel Châtelain’s shot.
In the 31’, Haiti doubled the lead when Léa Jacques bent a stunning free kick right past the goalkeeper.
Haiti put a stamp on the win in the 90’+1’ as substitute Daphney Louis fired one from the middle of the box.
Group D
Guyana 1-3 Honduras
Honduras cruised to a 3-1 victory over Guyana in Group D at Stadion Guillermo Prospero Trinidad in Oranjestad, Aruba.
Ilsy Sevilla opened the scoring in the 7’ with a towering free kick from about 45 yards out.
Jazlyn Sánchez doubled the lead in the 45’+3’ with a header at the back post.
Halftime substitute Valentina Chavarria made an instant impact for Honduras, with a goal just two minutes after entering the game in the 47’.
Anaya Joseph scored Guyana’s lone goal in the 87’ as she hustled to a bouncing ball and put it away.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 1-5 Aruba
Aruba earned a 5-1 win over Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in Group D at Stadion Guillermo Prospero Trinidad in Oranjestad, Aruba.
The home side got on the board just a minute in, when Zyana Rogers scored the first goal of her brace. Her second one came off a free kick in the 82’.
Aruba doubled its lead in the 11’ when Niamh Tromp sent a long ball over the top and Adannayah Breinburg got past the keeper.
The lead was extended in the 22’ when Kaylee Vlijt muscled off a defender and cleaned up a rebound after her initial shot was blocked.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines got their lone goal in the 56’ by way of a high free kick from Amunique Edwards.
Liandra Angela also got on the scoresheet for Aruba in the 68’, as she headed in a free kick cross from Breinburg.
Group E
Anguilla 3-1 British Virgin Islands
Anguilla earned a 3-1 win over the British Virgin Islands in Group E at Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago Managua, Nicaragua.
Phaedra Romney opened the scoring in the 17’. McKenzie Niles doubled the lead in the 31’.
The British Virgin Islands got its first goal of the tournament as Kiyah-Starr Shelton’s shot rang off the crossbar and T’Nyah Richardson was there to clean it up in the 52’.
Anguilla quieted any hope of a comeback in the 78’ as Joden Henry sealed the victory.
Grenada 1-8 Costa Rica
Costa Rica sit atop Group E after a 8-1 win over Grenada at Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago Managua, Nicaragua.
Lucía Paniagua led the way with a hat trick, scoring a pair in the first half and getting her third in the 85’. Nubia Medina also contributed with a brace as undefeated Costa Rica had five different scorers in the contest.
Grenada’s lone goal was scored by Alexis Hypolite in the 18’.
