The Franco-Senegalese wonderkid Pape Cabral has joined AS Monaco’s first-team squad ahead of their clash against FC Lorient, for Matchday 6 of Ligue 1.

The 18-year-old midfielder will step in for his compatriot Lamine Camara, who has been ruled out due to an ankle injury.

Here are five things to know about Monaco’s sensational new Senegalese prospect.

He began his football career in 2013 with CS Mainvilliers before signing as a free agent with AS Monaco in 2022.
He has featured in 54 matches for AS Monaco’s U19 team, where he scored 5 goals.

He has represented most of France’s youth sides, but he is still eligible to switch his sporting nationality from French to Senegalese.
He played three matches for "Les Bleuets" at the last U19 Euro, scoring two goals in the tournament.
He has not yet been given a market value by the specialized website “transfermarkt.”
