Paraguay have named a 26-player squad for the 2026 World Cup, drawn in Group D with the United States, Türkiye and Australia. Gustavo Alfaro's side open on 12 June at 22:00 Brasília time in Los Angeles against the hosts.

According to Globo.com, seven Brazil-based players are included, Fabián Balbuena of Grêmio, Gustavo Gómez and Mauricio of Palmeiras, Junior Alonso of Atlético-MG, Ramón Sosa of Palmeiras, Isidro Pitta of Bragantino and Damián Bobadilla of São Paulo.

Goalkeepers: Orlando Gill, Gatito Fernández, Gastón Olveira. Defenders: Juan Cáceres, José Canale, Fabián Balbuena, Omar Alderete, Gustavo Gómez, Alexandro Maidana, Junior Alonso, Gustavo Velázquez. They face Türkiye on 20 June at 01:00 Brasília time in Santa Clara. The group finale is against Australia on 25 June at 23:00, also in Santa Clara.

This is Paraguay's ninth World Cup appearance after 1930, 1950, 1958, 1986, 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010. Their best run came in 2010, when they reached the quarter-finals.

The 2026 tournament will be staged in the United States, Canada and Mexico, with 104 matches. It starts on 11 June with Mexico facing South Africa at Estadio Azteca, the knockout phase begins on 28 June and the final is on 19 July at MetLife Stadium.
