Sud Ouest reports that Pau have been handed a three-window FIFA registration ban following a dispute involving Senegalese forward Mouhamed Diouf.

The club has appeared on FIFA’s list of teams barred from registering players since Monday, the day the winter window closed. Pau are currently 10th in Ligue 2.

Diouf, 20, agreed to join in January 2025, but the LFP did not approve his contract due to missing administrative documents.

His representatives subsequently began proceedings with FIFA seeking recognition of his rights.

FIFA’s disputes chamber has ordered Pau to pay the player €150,000 in salary arrears and damages. Paris-based lawyer Laurent Fellous said in a statement that the ruling underlines that clubs cannot flout contractual obligations without consequence.
