FC Barcelona deliver a performance worthy of champions in their recent clash against Getafe. From the very first minute till the end of the game, the Catalan giants seemed ready to fight the opposition for every duel and opportunity.

Ultimately, it allowed La Blaugrana to come away from a difficult away game with a 2-0 victory to take back home. Now leading La Liga by eleven points, this was exactly the kind of performance that was needed from Hansi Flick’s team.

Joan Garcia: 7.0/10

Another clean sheet for the Spanish goalkeeper, but he was hardly tested by the opposition in this game. However, his distribution was solid apart from a lapse of concentration which could have been costly.

Jules Kounde: 5.5/10

Yet another unconvincing performance from the Frenchman, who often manages to lose focus during games. Also ended up picking up a yellow card for a frustrating error, and his decision making in general needs to be better.

Pau Cubarsi: 8.5/10

Saved what was almost a certain goal, Pau Cubarsi was alert and sharp in this game. Took care of his defensive positioning well, and his distribution was great as well. Moreover, his progressive passes and interceptions also enabled both of Barça’s goals.

Gerard Martin: 7.5/10

Did well to play his role alongside Cubarsi in defense, and his passing was solid as well. Some of his disguised passes into the midfield really managed to open up the Getafe structure.

Joao Cancelo: 7.0/10

Effective on the left flank, Joao Cancelo managed to make life a bit difficult for Getafe from time to time. Some of his plays also looked quite threatening, albeit not much came out of them.

Gavi: 6.5/10

A rather quiet game by his standards, Gavi did good enough to play his role correctly and help the team wherever possible. Decent performance from the Spaniard.

Controlled the tempo of the game from start to finish, and his trademark trickery proved to be too much for Getafe to handle. He also ended up providing a sensational assist to Fermin Lopez for Barça’s opening goal.

Roony Bardghji: 6.0/10

Quite underwhelming during the first half, the young Swedish winger did not do much to threaten the opposition and they were able to shut him down rather well. Moreover, his final pass and even his attempt at goal was nothing worth noting.

Dani Olmo: 7.0/10

Found himself in some promising situations on more than one occasion, but his final action needed to be much better. However, his general play was decent and he found his teammates well.

Fermin Lopez: 8.0/10

Energetic from the very beginning of the match, Fermin Lopez looked determined to make something happen. Eventually, he managed to do exactly that with a great finish to open up the scoring for Barcelona.

Robert Lewandowski: 7.5/10

Despite not finding much success in front of the opposition goal himself, the Polish ace did well to facilitate his teammates. Provided a sublime assist to Marcus Rashford for the team’s second goal as well.

Substitutes:

Ronald Araujo: 7.0/10

Played his role quite well on the right flank, applying pressure both defensively and offensively. Good performance from the Uruguayan who did especially well in winning his aerial duels.

Frenkie de Jong: 7.0/10

His introduction allowed Pedri to control the game even more and it enabled Barça to progress the ball far more fluidly than they were doing before.

Marcus Rashford: 7.5/10

His explosiveness ended up really troubling Getafe, and it eventually allowed him to grab another goal for Barcelona as well in the second half.

Alejandro Balde: N/A
