Pedro available for Flamengo v Santos after Bragantino scare | OneFootball

Pedro asked to come off against Bragantino with right thigh discomfort, but it was cramp only and he is cleared to face Santos on Sunday at the Maracanã, according to Coluna Do Fla.

On Thursday 02, with Flamengo 3-0 down, he lifted his shorts, signalled to the bench and limped off. Leonardo Jardim brought on Wallace Yan at 22 minutes of the second half in Bragança Paulista.

Like his team-mates, Pedro struggled. In 67 minutes he had no shot, made one pass in the final third, suffered one foul and lost five possessions.

With a Libertadores opener against Cusco (PER) at altitude on Wednesday 08, Jardim has not decided whether to field a full-strength side against Santos in the 10th round at the Maracanã.

If Pedro is rested, Wallace Yan is favoured to start. Bruno Henrique is also in contention, having recovered from pubalgia and potentially returning after over a month.

Flamengo v Santos kicks off at 17:30 Brasília time. Globo will show the match free-to-air across much of the country, with Neymar suspended after his third yellow card.
