The 17-year-old will move to Frankfurt from the USA on a contract valid until 30 June 2030. Guimaraes will join the Eagles on 1 July 2026.
Born in Paoli, Pennsylvania, Guimaraes currently plays for Orange County SC in the United Soccer League Championship. The left-back, who holds both American and Brazilian citizenship, has made 31 competitive appearances across the league and cup for the West Coast club to date, registering four goals and an assist.
He made his debut at the age of 16 in the USL Championship, which is the second tier in the USA, below MLS. Guimaraes scored his maiden goal for Orange County in June 2025 in the USL Cup, a competition involving clubs from the USL Championship and USL League One.
Guimaraes has made 14 appearances for the USA U17s so far, most recently at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025, while he also earned eight caps for the U16s and U15s.
Sporting director Timmo Hardung: “Pedro Guimaraes is a very exciting prospect at left-back. We’ve been following his progress for a while now. In addition to strong technical ability, he’s got an outstanding understanding of the game for his age. We’re very pleased that he’s decided to join Eintracht Frankfurt and that he sees his future with us. We’ll give him the time he needs to get used to professional football in Germany and to develop with us step by step. To that end, our plan is for Pedro to gain valuable match practice in our U21 side.”
