On the afternoon of this Saturday (24), Corinthians officially presented the Uruguayan right-back Pedro Milans as a reinforcement for the 2026 season. The player gave a press conference at the Dr. Joaquim Grava Training Center, alongside president Osmar Stabile and football executive Marcelo Paz.

“In Uruguay, Corinthians is well-known. It is a club with a lot of history, and honestly, I didn't think much and I wanted to play here. Working with all these teammates, who will add a lot to my career. And, well, being here, in this club, with all this top-level complex, I feel it will help me a lot,” said the athlete.

“As I said, in Uruguay, Corinthians is seen as a club with a lot of history, that is top-level, one of the biggest in Brazil and South America. I felt it was a very beautiful step in my career, that I wanted to live this experience, this world of Corinthians. I didn't think, I came, and now I want to work to play and win many titles.” he continued.

Officially announced last Wednesday, Pedro Milans signed a three-season contract with Timão, valid until December 2029. The Uruguayan will wear the number 20 jersey and arrives to compete for a position with Matheuzinho in the alvinegro squad.

The right-back was free on the market since the beginning of the year, after failing to reach an agreement for renewal with Peñarol, the club he played for over the last four seasons. In 2025, Milans played in 42 matches and contributed with two assists.

Revealed by Juventud de Las Piedras, the player fit the profile sought by the Corinthians board, which has prioritized signing players without a contract or on loan. At Parque São Jorge, he expands the options for the right-back position, which until then only had Matheuzinho and the young João Vitor Jacaré.

Now regularized, Pedro Milans awaits the opportunity to debut for Corinthians. His first appearance could happen as soon as this Sunday, when Timão faces Velo Clube at 8:30 PM at Benitão Stadium in Rio Claro, for the fifth round of the Paulista Championship.
