A goalless draw and some regret for Coach Zanchetta's Primavera side on matchday 30 in the league. The team couldn't break Cagliari down and missed the chance to overtake leaders Roma. The table tightens with this result: Roma remain first on 61 points and Inter sit at 60 points, level with Sassuolo, who secured a win against Bologna.

INTER 0-0 CAGLIARI | THE MATCH

Inter began the match at the KONAMI Youth Development Cetre with some good spells of possession whilst initially trying to study their opponent to find the best way to break down an attentive and solid Cagliari side, who looked dangerous on the counter. The first threat came from the visitors, as set-piece was met by a Pintus header which went just over the bar. Cagliari tested the waters but the best chance of the first half came to Inter in the 44th minute as Topalovic's diagonal shot hit the post following a touch from Ciocci's fingertips. There were no changes at the break, but both coaches made changes on the hour mark. In the 60th minute, Spinaccè had the chance to make it 1-0, but Ciocci came out just in time to claim the ball. Inter tried their luck with a few individual efforts, like through Venturini who dribbled and shot in the 69th minute, but his effort went just wide. With ten minutes left, the match became more lively as both teams searched for a decisive breakthrough: Spinaccè latched onto Della Mora's cross but couldn't hit the target. Cagliari proved dangerous at the other end as Achour's effort was blocked by his teammate Marcolini. In the 91st minute, the guests went down to ten men as Pintus was sent off for a foul on Lavelli on the edge of the penalty-area: Inter had the final chance but the goal did not come. The Nerazzurri took a point home and now sit one point behind the leaders Roma, with 60 points in the league.
