According to France Bleu journalist Bruno Salomon, Paris Saint-Germain have taken the decision to ban any tifos or pre-match demonstrations from fans inside the Parc des Princes for the rest of the year.

This decision follows a tifo which read ‘Free Palestine’ was displayed by ultras of Les Parisiens ahead of their UEFA Champions League match against Atlético de Madrid on Wednesday. Following a meeting with the French Football Federation and the French government, the Ligue 1 champions have promised to check pre-match tifos for the absence of political statements.

In addition to banning pre-match demonstrations from fans for the rest of 2024, PSG are also expected to prevent the supporters’ group Collectif Ultras Paris (CUP) from accessing the Parc des Princes outside matchdays. The length of such a ban is unknown. PSG and the CUP could also be set to receive sanctions from UEFA for the demonstration.
