Lucas Chevalier (23) is set to complete a big-money move from Lille OSC to Paris Saint-Germain, paving the way for Gianluigi Donnarumma (26) to depart.

The Italian goalkeeper enjoyed the best spell of his PSG career at the end of last season, playing a key role in helping the club lift the UEFA Champions League trophy for the first time. However, his contract situation has cast doubt over his future.

With just one year remaining on his deal, PSG have been desperate to avoid another Kylian Mbappé situation. There has been an ultimatum: extend or leave. With Chevalier on the way in, it now looks as though Donnarumma has chosen the latter option.

His exit is set to be confirmed during a meeting with PSG’s hierarchy later this week, as per Sacha Tavolieri. Whilst, as reported by Fabrice Hawkins, there is the chance of the Italy international staying, a departure is highly likely. Les Parisiens won’t stand in Donnarumma’s way in any case, amid continued interest from Chelsea, as well as Galatasaray.
