PSG ‘to reopen talks’ with Leipzig for Diomande as Real Madrid near deal

L'Équipe reports that Paris Saint-Germain have contacted RB Leipzig again over Yan Diomande as Real Madrid close in on a deal.

PSG are said to be making a final check on the situation, exploring a possible late hijack.

That stance contrasts with Fabrizio Romano's claim on Sunday that PSG had withdrawn from the race because of excessive demands.

Even so, this last-ditch move from the reigning Champions League winners could already be too late to land the Ivorian.

If Real Madrid put the €120million minimum transfer fee demanded by Leipzig on the table, the Bundesliga side should accept.

Diomande has recently agreed a five-year contract with Real Madrid, a club he has previously said was his childhood team.
