Rafinha focuses on Flamengo as São Paulo unveil football coordinator | OneFootball

According to Coluna Do Fla, São Paulo on Tuesday 27 introduced former full-back Rafinha as their football coordinator for the season, and he underlined the immediate test against Flamengo.

Flamengo visit Morumbi on Wednesday 28 at 21:30 Brasília time for the league curtain-raiser.

Rafinha said his mind is on Morumbi tomorrow, calling Flamengo a giant and describing the match as São Paulo’s first challenge.

He added he is not worrying about what happens at the end of the year or who comes and goes, insisting he is here to live the moment and is prepared.

The club are dealing with internal turbulence after issues involving former president Julio Casares. They sit penultimate in the Campeonato Paulista and face the risk of relegation, while the transfer market has proved difficult.

Against that backdrop, Rafinha, who had a spell at Flamengo in 2019, is tasked with steadying the football department through the season.
