Rangers have appointed Danny Röhl as the new head coach on a two-and-a-half-year contract.
Reports had suggested that Röhl had stepped away from interview proceedings as the Gers looked to replace Russell Martin.
However, the former Sheffield Wednesday boss has now been appointed as the club's new head coach and will be tasked with reversing a poor start for the Glasgow giants.
"It is a huge privilege to be taking on the role of Head Coach at such an incredible club, recognised around the world," Röhl said on his appointment.
"I know it has been a difficult start to the season, but there is still so much to play for in four competitions, and my staff and I will give it everything to reward the supporters and the club."
"The expectations here are clear. The fans want to see results now – my mentality and experience is to think in exactly the same way and I have belief in the players that we can achieve this."
Röhl is set to be in the dugout for Rangers this Thursday as his side travel to face Brann in the UEFA Europa League.
Rangers are currently sixth in the Premiership after drawing 2-2 at home to Dundee United on Saturday and are currently 13 points off league leaders Hearts.
