Former Vasco forward Rayan has addressed playing for Bournemouth in red and black, colours that recall Flamengo.
“The lads at the club tease me as well, but it is normal, regardless of the colour of the shirt. Thankfully the number two shirt is blue and black, I think that helps,” Rayan said in an interview with GE.
He has not felt the pressure at Bournemouth, recording two goals and one assist in eight Premier League games. His contract with the English side runs until mid 2031.
His form has earned a place in Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad. This is the final call-up before the Italian finalises his 2026 World Cup selection.
He was an unused substitute in Brazil’s first friendly of this international window against France. For the meeting with Croatia, Ancelotti may hand the ex-Vasco striker some minutes.
Brazil face Croatia at 21h30 (Brasília time) on Tuesday 31 in Orlando, Florida. Rede Globo, SporTV and GETV will show the match.
