The noise around Real Madrid’s poor squad planning is real, and it is now slowly dawning on the administration that their plan has not been perfect.
Los Blancos, after all, splashed the cash on profiles without taking into account if they fit well in the same model, and the lack of synergy is visible on the field.
The summer, thus, will see the men in white push for new signings once more, especially in midfield where they will continue their search for the right fit.
As reported by Caught Offside in a recent report, Real Madrid are eyeing Chelsea midfielder and World Cup winner Enzo Fernández as an option for the summer.
After all, the player is said to be frustrated with his situation in England and to have offered his services to Real Madrid.
The Argentine international is contractually bound to Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2032, but that does not rule out a departure given Chelsea’s obvious overbooking across the field and need for sales.

The Blues, thus, are not opposed to the sale of Fernandez but demand a premium of close to €100 million to €110 million to facilitate the same. His future could become a major saga in the summer and Real Madrid will inevitably be involved.
Los Blancos see Fernandez to be a possible alternative to Jude Bellingham whose future at the club is being called into doubt for the first time since his arrival.
After all, he has not adapted well to playing deeper in the field and is no longer delivering impactful performances with the same frequency.
Real Madrid are not actively planning for Bellingham’s departure, but should the player edge towards an exit, Fernandez is seen as a strong candidate to replace him. His leadership, after all, is something Real Madrid can really benefit from.
