Real Madrid fans pay tribute to Luka Modrić & Carlo Ancelotti during Real Sociedad clash | OneFootball

The Real Madrid fans in attendance at the club’s meeting with Real Sociedad on Saturday have made use of the opportunity to pay heartfelt tribute to both Luka Modrić, and Carlo Ancelotti.

Today of course marks a special day for Modrić and Ancelotti alike.

Ahead of upcoming summer departures from Real Madrid, both have this afternoon made the trip to the Santiago Bernabéu for the very last time.

Tributes, in turn, have long come pouring in for the pair, from club and fans alike.

In the case of the former, banners, tifos and images on the electronic boards around the ground were all unveiled:

The Real Madrid faithful, meanwhile, have since followed suit with a host of banners and signs of their own.

In addition, upon proceedings reaching the 10-minute mark, the name of Luka Modrić – Los Blancos’ departing no.10 – was loudly chanted in unison throughout the Bernabéu.
