Real Madrid are recovering players from injury at a rapid pace with Antonio Rudiger already back, Eder Militao well on his way back and Eduardo Camavinga also expected to be available in the coming days.

Earlier today, Real Madrid veteran and legend Dani Carvajal confirmed that he has fully recovered from his setback, handing Xabi Alonso yet another boost ahead of the knockout stages of the event.

After all, Carvajal missed most of last season through a gruesome knee injury and his return means that the team’s defence is almost back to full strength.

Debut incoming?

As relayed in a recent update by Carrusel Deportivo, Carvajal could well make his debut for the season under Xabi Alonso tomorrow night against Juventus in what will be a massive moment for Real Madrid.

After all, the right-back has been out of action since Real Madrid’s game against Villarreal last October and will thus make his first appearance in close to eight months.

Carvajal has been a bonafide starter in his position for a long time now, but the arrival of Trent Alexander-Arnold pits him against a worthy competitor this time around. While it is clear that his experience will be valued, he is no longer an assured starter.

Come Tuesday night, the right-back is expected to start on the bench, and rightfully so for he is lacking match-fitness and returning to the field after over half a year. Phasing his return, thus, would appear to be Alonso’s best bet.

Carvajal is thus expected to enter the field in the second half as a substitute, much like the case of Kylian Mbappe who is just returning from a serious illness. Needless to say, however, merely watching Carvajal return to the field will be a special moment.
