Real Madrid’s Victor Valdepenas set for Fiorentina switch, Mourinho agrees to transfer | OneFootball

Real Madrid youngster Victor Valdepenas has been linked with a move to Fiorentina for many weeks now and the deal is now set to go through.

Tuttomercatoweb report that all the necessary agreements have been reached for the transfer. Initially, the wait was ongoing for Jose Mourinho to give his views on the deal and the Portuguese has now agreed for the player to depart.

The move is done on a permanent basis, with Fiorentina having agreed to pay Real Madrid €8 million some weeks ago. Los Blancos will have a 50% sell-on percentage and they will also have a buyback option.

Daniele Longo reports that this option will be applicable for the next three seasons, with the 19-year-old set to sign a five-year deal.

The move fixes two of La Viola’s problems right away. Robin Gosens has been replaced with a younger profile and with a player who is more of an athlete than the German was. Besides, Pietro Comuzzo is on his way to Torino and Valdepenas can easily fill in for the Italian in times of need, reducing the need for an exclusive centre-back signing.
