FC Bayern Women turned their Allianz Women’s Tour 2026 in Tokyo into a unique blend of football, culture and inspiration. In Momoko Tanikawa’s home country, the team immersed themselves in the fascinating world of Japan. The itinerary included a visit to downtown Tokyo and a traditional tea ceremony, among other things. In addition, director Bianca Rech sent a strong message about the international significance of women’s football and FC Bayern’s influence far beyond Munich with a visit to the German Embassy in Tokyo.

The trip also had plenty to offer on the sporting front as Bayern Women trained intensively in preparation for the new season. In a 4-1 friendly victory over RB Ōmiya Ardija, Klara Bühl and Co showcased their talent in front of enthusiastic fans. The 2026 Allianz Women’s Tour was rounded off with a group sushi dinner, where the team reflected on the week’s experiences and enjoyed the diversity of Japanese cuisine. Nürnberg, opening in Unterhaching & Supercup showdown vs. Wolfsburg

Following the end of the Allianz Women’s Tour in Japan, FCB Women go into the business end of pre-season. Before trophies and points are at stake, they face two acid tests: this Saturday, José Barcala’s side meet 1. FC Nürnberg at the Stauferpark Donauwörth (kick-off 17:00*). That’s followed a week later by the marque friendly against Paris FC on Sunday 9 August at Sportpark Unterhaching (kick-off 16:00, live on FC Bayern TV PLUS), when the Munich team will welcome their fans to their new home stadium in South Munich for the first time.

The competitive action gets under way with the Supercup on Saturday 15 August (19:30) at the Audi Sportpark in Ingolstadt, where the first trophy of the season is up for grabs straight away. The double winners from Munich take on last season’s Bundesliga runners-up VfL Wolfsburg. A week later, Bayern kick off the new league campaign with the opening match against 1. FC Union Berlin on 21 August (18:20).
