Training followed by visit to stadium

We still haven't seen too much of the sun in the US, with our second training day in New Jersey being a relatively cool and wet one. That was not going to deter our Red Bulls one bit, however.

Thomas Letsch put our boys through another intensive session lasting close to two hours at the training centre of the New York Red Bulls – as we want to be fully on it for our start of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup on Wednesday against CF Pachuca!

We got our first taste of the tournament on Sunday, as the team enjoyed a special trip in the afternoon. We went to the nearby MetLife Stadium, where our Red Bulls watched the group stage match between Palmeiras and FC Porto.

Our goalkeeper coach Pedro Pereira, who spent most of his career at the top Portuguese side, was a particularly keen spectator, and the rest of the team also had fun in the huge American stadium. The goalless draw didn't take anything away from the atmosphere.

We have another training session (behind closed doors) on Monday before we travel on Tuesday to Cincinnati for our first group stage match!
