Bayern Munich have enquired about the availability of Malo Gusto with a view to a potential transfer this summer according to reports.
Gusto is currently part of the squad preparing for Sunday’s Club World Cup final against Paris Saint Germain in New York.
The France international struggled last season, as he found it difficult to get to grips with Enzo Maresca’s system, which has led to some speculation about his future.
Gusto impressed under Mauricio Pochettino in his first season having joined from French side Lyon in a deal worth around £26m in 2023.
The 22-year-old has been a regular throughout his time at Stamford Bridge given the well documented injury issues of Reece James.

Gusto has appeared in all six of Chelsea’s games at the Club World Cup, but on the back of a disappointing season there’s been some speculation about his future.
L’Equipe via GFFN have reported Bayern have made an enquiry with a view to a potential transfer this summer, with the German giants keen to strengthen at right back.
The report adds Bayern could move if they manage to offload Sacha Boey, but it remains to be seen if Chelsea are willing to sell Gusto.
There have been reports Gusto could be offered a new contract, but unless an incredible offer came in or he expressed a desire to leave it’s hard to see him departing this summer.
Chelsea are well stocked at right back and also have talented youngster Josh Acheamponng on their books, who arguably suits Maresca’s system better than Gusto.

Acheampong is comfortable coming into midfield and carries the ball really well, but his opportunities have been limited and he’s only made one appearance at the Club World Cup.
Crystal Palace have enquired about the possibility of taking Acheampong on loan, and if he’s not going to play regularly at Chelsea, a Premier League loan makes sense for the next stage of his development.
