Rocco Reitz has addressed Borussia Mönchengladbach supporters after confirmation of his summer move to RB Leipzig on a five-year deal. After months of speculation, it was announced on Monday that he will join at the end of the season.

The player said in a post that he will stay fully committed to Gladbach for the remainder of the campaign, promising to give everything in every remaining game, especially in this weekend's derby. He thanked those responsible for their trust, noting that the opportunity to develop further as an athlete and person takes effect next season.

Reitz accepted that some fans may struggle to understand his decision to leave, and stressed the choice was anything but easy for him.
