Rui Costa is looking to oversee a major Benfica squad clear-out under José Mourinho ahead of 2026/27, with several players not in the plans. Bruma is among those flagged for a possible exit.
Record writes that Benfica intend to sell Alexander Bah, hoping the right back enhances his value at the World Cup, and that Bruma and Henrique Araújo are expected to leave at the start of next season.
The 24-year-old forward was due to depart in January, but chose to wait until summer to weigh up his future. Bruma remains with the medical team and has not convinced Mourinho.
Sidny Cabral, a winter signing who is currently with his national team, is also under scrutiny. His situation will be assessed through to the end of the season.
Midfielders Manu Silva and João Rego could also move on. Manu Silva has limited space after almost a year out injured, while Seixal product João Rego is expected to be loaned to the Primeira Liga to aid his development.
