Samuel Lino shines for Flamengo as Spanish report hails rediscovered form | OneFootball

Samuel Lino has emerged as Flamengo’s standout of their World Cup break, with Spanish daily Diario AS writing he has found his place and rediscovered top form at the club.

Across the break he produced two goals and five assists. In 2026 he has 14 assists in total, nine in official games and five in friendlies, figures that underline his importance to Leonardo Jardim’s side.

He has played 32 matches in 2026, with six goals and nine assists in official competition.

Flamengo signed Lino in July 2025 for €22 million plus €2 million in bonuses. He agreed a four and a half year deal running to December 2029.

Lino said he aims to help in any role, with the coach deciding on selection, and that he will give everything whether starting or coming off the bench.

Flamengo visit Chapecoense on Wednesday 22 at Arena Condá in Santa Catarina, kick-off 21:30 Brasília time, in the 19th round of the Brasileirão.
