Santos name side to face Coritiba as Mayke starts and Neymar Jr leads attack | OneFootball

Santos have named their side to face Coritiba at 11:00 at Neo Química Arena in round 16 of the Brasileirão.

According to Diario Do Peixe, Cuca starts Gabriel Brazão, Mayke, Adonis Frías, Lucas Veríssimo, Gonzalo Escobar, Willian Arão, Gustavo Henrique, Gabriel Bontempo, Moisés, Neymar Jr and Rollheiser.

The bench features Falcão, Diógenes, Luan Peres, João Ananias, Miguelito, Christian Oliva, Samuel Pierri, Robinho Jr, Gabigol, Rony, Lautaro Díaz and Barreal. The notable new inclusion is Under-20 midfielder Samuel Pierri.

Igor Vinicius was due to start but reported a fever this morning, so Mayke comes in. Gustavo Henrique replaces Oliva and Moisés takes Barreal’s place, with both recent starters carrying minor discomfort and beginning on the bench.

There are three absences. João Schmidt and Gabriel Menino are recovering from right hamstring injuries and are only expected back after the World Cup, while forward Thaciano continues his recovery from a right thigh muscle injury. Defender Luan Peres returns after a fracture in his left hand.
