Santos record biggest Vila Belmiro gate profit despite 3-2 loss to Fluminense | OneFootball

Santos made R$ 737.211,26 in matchday profit despite a 3-2 defeat by Fluminense in the Brasileirão’s 12th round on Sunday. The game at Vila Belmiro drew 14.179 fans and grossed R$ 1.192.798,58.

According to the CBF’s financial bulletin, total outgoings were R$ 455.587,32. The breakdown listed R$ 453,76 for rentals and insurance, R$ 122.194,90 in taxes and fees, and R$ 332.938,69 in operational costs.

It was the club’s third biggest crowd of the year and produced their highest profit at Vila Belmiro. The takings were second only to the Red Bull Bragantino fixture staged at Neo Química Arena.

Season-leading profits also include R$ 804.695,11 from the 0-0 draw with Red Bull Bragantino at Neo Química Arena and R$ 684.583,31 from the 6-0 win over Velo Clube at Vila Belmiro.

The largest attendances so far are 30.609 against Red Bull Bragantino at Neo Química Arena, 15.008 for the 1-1 draw with Corinthians at Vila Belmiro, then 14.179 for the Fluminense match.
