Gabriel Brazão is available for Santos against Vitória in the 18th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro after the club obtained a suspensive order. Kick-off is Saturday 20:00 Brasília time at Vila Belmiro.

According to Globo.com, the STJD had suspended the goalkeeper for four matches for insulting referee Raphael Claus.

He was charged by the third disciplinary commission under article 243-F of the CBJD, for offending someone’s honour. The case followed the 1-1 draw at Palmeiras, after which he protested a second half booking and implied close calls favoured the hosts.

In its appeal, Santos said there was no specific intent to offend the officials, describing the remarks as non-offensive criticism. The club also cited recent STJD precedents and sought possible reclassification to article 258, with a minimum penalty convertible to a warning.

STJD Pleno rapporteur Maxwell Borges de Moura Vieira deemed the thesis plausible, citing uncertainty over the subjective element required by article 243-F. He noted the conviction passed by a majority, with dissent in the 3rd Disciplinary Commission, supporting a review by the Pleno.

The suspensive order stands until the appeal is heard by the STJD Pleno, with no date yet set.
