São Paulo have decided they will not negotiate the sale of Marcos Antônio in the next transfer window, despite Flamengo interest.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the midfielder is viewed as non-negotiable, so Flamengo would have to trigger his release clause to sign him.

That clause for Brazilian clubs is R$ 597 million, and São Paulo would only be willing to sell to European sides.

Flamengo’s interest dates to 2024, when he was still at Lazio. A proposal was made, but no agreement was reached and he joined São Paulo on loan.

After the loan, performance targets obliged São Paulo to buy him for 4.2 million euros, R$ 26 million. Even so, Flamengo remain keen on adding the midfielder.
