With only a few days left in this January transfer window, FC Barcelona are still looking to make an offensive addition to their squad, that will allow Hansi Flick to have greater space for maneuverability in his attacking scheme for the second half of the season.

Thus, the Blaugranes are looking to sell some of their surplus players, with Eric Garcia one of their assets who is looking highly likely to complete a move in the coming days.

In fact, Barcelona are already in contact with Girona for a permanent sale of the Spanish defender, who spent the last season under Michel and returned to the Blaugrana side only in the last summer transfer window. Ever since that time, Girona have been trying to get the former Manchester City defender back in their team.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo, other clubs have also entered the competition for Eric Garcia’s signing, and one such club is the Italian side Como, which is currently being managed by the former Blaugrana midfielder Cesc Fàbregas.

The report claims that there have already been contacts between Barcelona and the Italian side, and the main difference between them is regarding the transfer fee, as the Catalans are asking for €10 million while the Italians are willing to offer €8 million.

Thus, in the coming days, Girona and Como can enter a battle for Garcia’s signature. This fight will become even more interesting as Hansi Flick is not fully convinced to part ways with the Spaniard, and Inigo Martinez’s injury can particularly complicate his departure.
