Leeds United’s projected Premier League line-up for next season is sketched out as recruitment gathers pace after a 14th-place finish.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the dream XI depends on landing leading targets, with Harry Wilson signing a four-year deal after leaving Fulham and a major step taken on Tuesday night to replace Pascal Struijk following his move to Brighton.
Chairman Paraag Marathe has set out plans to back Daniel Farke with genuine first-team quality. Leeds still need a clear first-choice goalkeeper and want extra depth in central midfield, plus competition across the squad.
Goalkeeper James Trafford is admired. If he leaves Manchester City he will have strong interest elsewhere, but he would be a significant addition at Elland Road.
Centre-back Joe Rodon logged more Premier League minutes last season than anyone bar Ethan Ampadu. The Welshman also bade farewell to his promotion-winning partner last month.
Jaka Bijol seized his chance and settled into the central centre-back role, often overpowering opponents.
Leeds have agreed a £34m deal for 23-year-old Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemovic, who is on course to fill that vacancy. He is front-footed and physically imposing.
Right-back Jayden Bogle enjoyed a fine campaign, his 32 starts topped by only three teammates. James Justin could be used when extra defensive solidity is required.
