Southampton ‘to reject’ latest Leeds bid for Shea Charles | OneFootball

Leeds United are set to be rebuffed in their pursuit of Shea Charles, with Southampton expected to turn down the latest offer.

According to The Athletic, Leeds had a first £20m bid rejected and returned with a higher proposal, reported as £23m plus add-ons, though the report says Southampton view it as below that figure.

The report also notes talks are continuing as Leeds try to add in midfield, and Crystal Palace have been linked with the player.

Daniel Farke currently has Ethan Ampadu, Ao Tanaka, Sean Longstaff, Ilia Gruev and Anton Stach as central options, with captain Ampadu and Stach the most regular starters in Premier League matches.

Charles joined Southampton from Manchester City in summer 2023 and has made 76 appearances. He has two years remaining on his contract.
