Jonathan Calleri struck in the 60th minute with a close-range finish, guiding São Paulo to a 2-0 win over Chapecoense.
The Argentine forward reacted to Damián Bobadilla's pass, sweeping into the bottom right from inside the six-yard area (60.). Moments later he was flagged offside (62.).
From there, he kept Soberano connected, leading the line and supplying four key passes as Chape dropped deeper. His hold-up play enabled runners to arrive around him and sustain pressure.
Calleri finished with two attempts, both on target, and nine touches in the box. He also produced ten successful final third passes, plus two tackles and three clearances that helped blunt Verdão do Oeste's counters.
With Tricolor Paulista pushing wide and crossing frequently, his penalty-area movement pinned defenders and created the lane for the game's breakthrough.
The display underlines Soberano's rise from second to first in the table ahead of a trip to RB Bragantino next. Chape host Grêmio next.
