Jonathan Calleri settled it in the 68th minute with a close-range header, as São Paulo beat RB Bragantino 2-1.
Breaking the line to meet Lucas Ramon's deep cross, he guided a deft header into the bottom corner (68.).
From there, the Tricolor Paulista forward won three aerial duels and regained possession five times before making way (83.). Braga's centre-backs struggled to pin him once he had set the platform.
He ended with one attempt on target, two touches in the box and four successful final third passes, underlining how efficiently he led Soberano's line.
His movement between the posts repeatedly found space as Massa Bruta's full-backs tucked in, and the Ramon supply line provided the decisive delivery.
Soberano climb from second to first on 16 points and visit Atlético Mineiro next. Braga head to Bahia.
