Olympique Lyonnais have handed 19-year-old Steeve Kango his first professional contract, a three-year deal running to 30 June 2029.
He made six senior appearances last season, four in Ligue 1 and two in the Europa League. The player said in a club statement that those outings were only a step, adding he must work harder to try to earn a permanent place with the first team.

Kango entered OL’s academy at U16 and has progressed through the ranks.
A native of Vaulx-en-Velin, he joined Lyon in 2021 from FC Vaulx.
He will look to increase his minutes at right-back this season and could push into the full-back rotation.
