Sudakov’s agent addresses reports over Benfica midfielder’s fatigue | OneFootball

Vadim Shablii has moved to defend Georgiy Sudakov after claims in Ukraine that the Benfica midfielder is exhausted and tired of football.

According to Empower Sports, Shablii said the No 10 is working hard in training and fully focused on Benfica.

He said many players go through difficult spells without losing their desire for the game, disputing suggestions Sudakov is weary of football.

He maintained Sudakov will keep fighting for his place and is doing everything he can to delight supporters again with performances and goals.

Benfica signed the Ukrainian from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer for 27 million euros plus 5 million in bonuses. Shakhtar hold a 25% sell-on, which Benfica can reduce to 15% by paying 6 million.

This season Sudakov has played 36 games, 22 in Liga Portugal Betclic, nine in the Champions League, three in the Taça de Portugal and two in the Taça da Liga. Across 2,381 minutes he has four goals and five assists. He is valued at 28 million euros.
