Sunderland ‘in for’ De Ketelaere and Muharemović in moves worth up to £64m | OneFootball

Sunderland are being linked with a double Serie A move, with interest in Charles De Ketelaere and Tarik Muharemović that could total about £64m.

According to Sunderland Echo, the Black Cats have registered their interest in De Ketelaere and have had an offer of around £29.9m rejected by Atalanta.

De Ketelaere is at the World Cup with Belgium, recording two goals and one assist in four outings so far. He has been at Atalanta since 2023, initially on loan from AC Milan before signing permanently. A Club Brugge academy graduate, he has 32 goals and 31 assists in 142 appearances for Atalanta.

The report adds that Regis Le Bris’ side also admire Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemović, a 23-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international. Bournemouth are monitoring him and Juventus are said to be keeping tabs, and a deal could be worth up to £34.1m this summer.

Sunderland have yet to bolster their squad in this window.
