Sunderland have been linked with a £60.3m triple move this summer, with Kerim Alajbegović and Mariano Troilo among those discussed, while Liverpool’s stance on Lutsharel Geertruida has shifted.
Geertruida joined on loan from RB Leipzig in September 2025 and made 30 appearances. Liverpool considered a January move while Conor Bradley was injured. According to Voetbal International, there is currently no contact under Andoni Iraola, a shift that could help Sunderland.
Alajbegović, 18, impressed at Red Bull Salzburg in 2025-26 with 44 appearances, 13 goals and four assists, and has caught the eye with Bosnia. Bayer Leverkusen have re-signed him, though his future is said to be uncertain.
Roma are claimed to have contacted Leverkusen over a permanent deal, with a bid around €30 million, roughly £25.9 million, discussed. Alajbegović is said to be open to Italy, Leverkusen have yet to respond, and Sunderland are among the English clubs furthest ahead in monitoring, though any move would be ambitious.
Sunderland face competition for Troilo, with Fulham reported to be preparing an offer near €20 million, though Parma are not under pressure to sell. He made 23 appearances and scored a winner at San Siro against Milan.
Former winger Jack Diamond is attracting interest from Portsmouth and Lincoln City after 15 goal involvements for Stockport County in 2025-26. The 26-year-old academy graduate has drawn attention from Championship and League One clubs.
