Sunderland ‘linked with’ triple £60.3m move as Liverpool stance on Lutsharel Geertruida shifts | OneFootball

According to Sunderland Echo, Sunderland are tracking Kerim Alajbegović, Lutsharel Geertruida and Mariano Troilo this summer. Separate interest surrounds former winger Jack Diamond.

The 18-year-old excelled for Salzburg in 2025-26, making 44 appearances with 13 goals and four assists. Leverkusen have re-signed him, though his long-term future is unclear.

Italian reports say Roma have contacted Leverkusen over a €30million, roughly £25.9million, deal. The player is said to be open to Italy, Leverkusen have yet to respond, and Sunderland’s interest has not been ruled out, though any move would be ambitious.

Sunderland may also be boosted on Geertruida, with Liverpool no longer thought to be pursuing the Netherlands international. The defender joined on loan from RB Leipzig in September 2025, playing 30 times last season.

Following Arne Slot’s exit and Andoni Iraola’s arrival, Voetbal International says there is currently no contact between Liverpool and Geertruida. Feyenoord look less likely after Robin van Persie’s departure. Sunderland would like to keep him, but he is focused on the World Cup and remains under contract at Leipzig until 2029, with a Transfermarkt valuation near €20million, about £17.2million.

On Troilo, Italian reports claim Fulham are preparing a €20million, around £17.2million, offer for the Parma centre-back. He made 23 appearances and scored a San Siro winner against AC Milan, while Sunderland made contact in May.

Diamond is on the radar of Portsmouth and Lincoln City after 15 goal involvements for Stockport County in 2025-26. The 26-year-old academy graduate previously played for Sunderland and could move this summer.
